We are so proud to be a partner of the women who make up the Ontulili Primates Protection Project (OPP).

OPP was formed to promote coexistence between humans and primates and has successfully re-introduced the Sykes Monkeys and other wildlife back to the region. Birds are now a daily presence and the project we initially seed-funded as a Phase I endeavor is in on Phase IV! Their collective efforts have strengthened the flora, fauna and entire canopy in this region. Led by Camille Wekesa and her impressive team, this region is by the now, beautiful Ontulili River, situated at the foothills of Mount Kenya, bordering Laikipia and Meru counties, central Kenya.

We were so lucky to find Camille Wekesa, one of the Founders of the Ontulili Primates Protection Project we partnered with.

We had a lovely conversation with Camille during Covid to learn more about this wonderful artist and conservationist who is making her mark in the world!
