MEMBER PHOTO OF THE MONTH - November

Submit one of your BEST or FAVORITE photos, taken from your travels in Africa and email to our team for consideration and we'll post our favorites to "Member Photo of the Month."

This month we've chosen this haunting photo taken by, Emma Gatland.  Emma took this while helping to transport an elephant rejoining his herd through a relocation exercise.

This month we've chosen three stunning photos from Over and Above Africa member, Neil McDonald and we think you'll agree they are a unique choice - it's of a Woolly Necked Stork that he captured in Africa - spectacular!

I’d never seen Woolly Necked Stork before I came across a group not far from Satara Camp in the Kruger NP.  This particular one was a real poser and was quite happy to show off the piece of wood in its mouth and put on quite a display!  Perhaps the reason why I’d never seen them before is because they are described in the ‘SASOL Birds of Southern Africa’ as “an uncommon resident” to South Africa.  What an amazing wingspan and what a stunning bird especially when they’re posing like this one.   Neil McDonald.

June's stunning photo is from Over and Above Africa member, Jane Michaelides-Smith and we think you'll agree it's a pretty spectacular elephant and calf!

Why it matters...

"This is the time to catch the fire of your spirit and let it carry you through creating your life's great work. This is the time to go for broke, put it all out there once and for all, put 100% of yourself into doing the work that has been calling to come through you. If not now, then when...?"
